I’ve always had an eye for fashion, but I used to prioritize comfort over style. Over time, I realized I didn’t have to choose between the two. Better materials, thoughtful construction, and accessible design made it possible to find things that looked good, felt good, and worked in everyday life. I wanted to bring that same idea to jewelry.

Stainless steel felt like the natural place to start. It has weight and presence, but it’s also durable, water-friendly, and accessible enough to actually live in. My interest in jewelry grew through pieces I found while traveling — my first chainmail piece in Lake Tahoe, handwoven metal jewelry in Colombia, and handmade pieces using crystals, rope, and wrapped metal in Mexico and Central America. What stayed with me was how materials, construction, and small details could give each piece its own character and beauty.

Materials

Steel with weight, presence, and movement.

Process

Pattern, repetition, rhythm.

After nearly a decade in tech, I stepped away to spend more time creating things with my hands. I also DJ and produce music, and I think both backgrounds show up in the way I approach jewelry: I’m drawn to pattern, repetition, rhythm, small details, and how individual parts come together into something that moves as a whole.

Wear It Out

I’ve also learned that it’s important to wear something new right away. Wearing it in the real world is how you discover when it feels right, what it works with, and where it belongs in your life. It keeps a new piece from becoming something you save indefinitely for the “right” occasion — and sometimes it’s how you discover the things you end up reaching for again and again.

Jewelry doesn’t have to be fragile to be precious. Wear it casually. Dress it up. Take it somewhere. Let it become part of your life.

Ask David

Yes. Stainless steel is water-safe, tarnish resistant and extremely durable. Swim, shower and live in it—these pieces are built to be worn.

David handweaves every piece in California, ring by ring, using chainmail-inspired patterns. No machines or mass production—the weave itself is the design.

After you order, we’ll confirm your wrist, neck or ring measurement so your piece is woven to fit you. Custom dimensions may occasionally require a custom quote.

Absolutely. Custom weaves, lengths and one-off designs are a core part of Steel Kloth. Send a note with what you have in mind.

Rinse with water and mild soap when needed, then pat dry. Stainless steel will not rust or tarnish with normal wear.

Ready-to-ship pieces typically leave within a few business days. Made-to-size and custom work take longer; you’ll receive an estimated timeline.
